SYNOPSIS
Synopsis: Written and directed by Philip YUNG (director of Port of Call and Where the Wind Blows — official selections of the 1st and 3rd FFHKP), Papa adapts to the screen a family tragedy inspired by the 2010 Heung-Wo Road murder. In this real-life case, a son suffering from psychological disorders killed his mother and sister, leaving only his father behind as a devastated survivor. The film — starring Best Actor Sean LAU alongside Jo KOO, Dylan SO, and Lainey HUNG — focuses on the aftermath: a father (LAU) consumed by guilt, facing silence, the memory of those lost, and the fragile necessity of dialogue with his son (SO).
